Middle School Curriculum

6th Grade

Sixth grade classes are still predominately self-contained with a team-teaching approach by primary teachers. This curriculum includes an introduction to other middle school courses in band, art, music, library skills, physical education, and computer. Student academic intervention services are available, including tutoring.

7th Grade - 8th Grade

With seventh and eighth grade students changing classes over a nine-period day, teachers approach each class understanding the fundamental differences between middle school and elementary or high school students. Instruction in skills of organization, note taking, and research are taught early and implemented throughout the middle school years. Student academic intervention services are available, including tutoring. A focus on developing godly character is an integral part of the middle school program.
