New MS Art Club
10/8/2009, Laurie Ihlenfield
Our new Middle School Art Club allows students to use their creative God-given talents to work on projects that may not be possible in the typical time-sensitive classroom environment. The students are encouraged to participate in coming up with project ideas and subject matter that may interest them. The students will learn to take a creative idea and transform it into a finished piece of art or product. The first project involves creating a skin for a skateboard.
International Art Award
10/5/2009, Lynn Tolley
Grace Marrah's art, entitled Family Unit, was recently selected for publication in the 2009-2010 ACSI Calendar. A photo of her sculpture appears for the month of March. Mrs. Marshall selected this piece for the annual contest from her 8th grade Art class last year. Grace becomes the second Tree of Life student recognized in this international publication in recent years. (Meredith Osborn was published in 2007.)
