Fall Play Emphasizes biblical Principle: You can’t take it with you!

Tree of Life high school students presented the award-winning comedy, “You Can’t Take It With You”. The play, written by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart, won the Pulitzer Prize in 1937. It follows the lives of the rather eccentric antics of the Sycamore family, headed by Grandfather Martin Vanderhof, played by senior Brian Redic. The romantic leads in the play, Alice Vanderhof and Tony Kirby, were played by sophomore Natalie Kells and senior Marcus Mayo. After being arrested and spending the night in jail, the respectable Kirby family is not about to let their son get involved in this mess of a family! But love wins out and the Kirbys are converted to the happy madness that reigns in the Sycamore household. Many thanks to all who helped provide props and costumes, and assisted in countless other ways behind the scenes to make the play a ...God created roaring, madcap, silly and enjoyable success.

You Can't Take it With You

The antics of the Sycamore family mean there is nevera dull moment.
