Spiritual Emphasis Week

What? So What? Now What? These were three questions asked during our recent high school Spiritual Emphasis chapels. More specifically, these questions were asked relative to The Cross. Each day students were asked to think through the significance and impact that the cross has on them, and what it means to them. During the final chapel they were challenged to carry their own cross, but not under the burden of isolation. Students were given an opportunity to place on the cross concerns, temptations or struggles that they might be carrying as well things they would like to pick up, like forgiveness or cleansing, or love. Students wrote these thoughts on paper and posted them to the cross as a symbol of change…
change that comes from what Christ did on the Cross.
