Computer Club

Purpose

To provide a forum so that we, the students of Tree of Life Christian Schools, can participate in learning and applying information technology.

Officers

The club must select a group of people (including President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer) to help guide the group in their activities.

Activities

The Computer Club will concern themselves with the following areas:

Computer Hardware: We'll learn the components of a computer in order that we may be able to build, break down, and analyze each component of a functioning system.

Peripheral Devices: We'll concern ourselves with both input and output.

Operating Systems: We'll learn everything from DOS to Windows XP (or most current version)

Applications: Everything including: financial, database, spreadsheet, word processor, and desktop publishing.

Software: All types of different software applications.

Programming: We'll learn to program in Visual Basic (C++ for the advanced programmer).

A+ Certification: Our goal is to get everyone certified under the CompTIA rules.
